Award Program Rules

 

 

Name of the award:
Polish Wings in the Battle of Britain – 85th Anniversary Tribute

Objective:
To commemorate and honor the heroic actions of the Polish squadrons that participated in World War II as part of the Polish Air Force and the Royal Air Force (RAF), to promote amateur radio, and to integrate the amateur radio community.

Radio event period:
From 01.09.2025 to 28.09.2025

Bands and modes:
Bands: 80 m – 10 m
Modes: SSB, CW, RTTY, FT8

QSOs on each of these bands and in each of the above modes are eligible for points.

Point-awarding stations:
30 special event stations will participate in the event.

Award acquisition rules:

Each participant earns points for QSOs according to the following scale:

  • CW: 5 points per QSO

  • RTTY: 4 points per QSO

  • SSB: 3 points per QSO

  • FT8: 1 point per QSO

 


Point thresholds for each award level:

Basic – The operator must complete:
5 QSOs with GB stations and 5 with SP stations.
Each station may only count once per band and per mode.
The same station may be worked again on a different band or in a different mode.

Other levels:
To obtain a higher award level, the requirements for the Basic level must first be met.
Each station may only be counted once per band and per mode per day.
Duplicate QSOs (same station, band, and mode) are accepted only if made on different days.

Point thresholds:

  • Bronze – minimum 200 points

  • Silver – minimum 300 points

  • Gold – minimum 400 points

  • Platinum – minimum 500 points


SWL (Shortwave Listeners):

The award is available to SWLs under the same point rules as for standard QSOs.
A log in Cabrillo or ADIF format must be sent to: info@rafpolishairforce85.pl


Award application:

Awards will be available after the event via the HamAward platform.
For SWLs, awards will be sent by email.
The award will be issued in electronic format only.
